Well, straight to it - who do I blame?
Whoever sold Dexter Blackstock, for starters.
Then there's that one linesman; he probably understands the offside rule but is let down by his eyesight and his mental process. Seems enough to have him operating in the Blue Square league from now on.
Not far behind-a ref who might well have given a yellow by thinking of over enthusiasm instead of evil intent. And Jan... when I wanted you to replace McGoldrick with Pekhart, you give us 2 centre forwards and denude the mid field which lets QPR score 2 more goals. All of this is ignoring the fact that those who argue you won't win anything with kids are beginning to have their point of view validated.
Almost sad to see Lallana display his obvious talent again-how the hell will we hang on to him in the January transfer window? Holmes looks badly injured-at least that might allow Drew to be played more forward.
Or maybe not?
2 home matches this week; after those will be the time to take a cold hard look at how this experiment is working and whether the fans will buy into it.
After all, its our club and our future. I don't feel somehow that Div 1 is part of the dream!

Looking at the league table in the Sunday paper with Saints in the bottom three is not good psychologically. OK, we have played a game less but that is away later today to QPR who are steadily progressing and both Svensson and Thomas are out injured (possibly both long term). I imagine that Cork will come in, probably with Perry although his lack of height still worries me and I suppose Lancashire would be a useful alternative. I hope Jan bolsters the midfield in front of them so we don't get overrun/bullied.
The longer term concern is that being down at the bottom brings in a degree of nervousness amongst the players (and the manager?) and so the club's high risk policy will be hit at one of its weakest points.
Read the stuff from Jan in the week about squad rotation - I think what he is saying is there are some players we have tried to offload and haven't been able to e.g. Skacel, BWP, and so we will now be able to use them more. In Rudi's case, that might not be a bad thing - he's a good option at left back and we can put Drew where he is of better use and might look happier!
Sky is my theatre this afternoon - I don't travel well and the food is better.

Well Done Theo!

Congratulations to Theo Walcott on his sparkling hat trick. Listening to the game on 5 Live (thanks Setanta) I kept feeling pleased as if Theo was still a Saints player.
I never understood why Sven called him up (and then didn't use him). I feared that might injure his confidence for some time. However, he's come through that and, while still trying to break regularly into the Arsenal line-up, looks as though he's soon to be a regular for both club and country. He still has some physical growing to do, so the best is yet to come.
It was also good to see Gareth Bale playing so well on the international stage. Both he and Theo have that invaluable asset of being able to go past the opposition with some ease.
Two players Saints fans can be proud of - what a pity the club is not financially robust enough to retain players that we produce of this calibre.
I see Michael Wilde said that Fulham had been pursuing Adam Lallana - unfortunately, we expect them or indeed some other premiership club to get back on this trail come January.
